Dogs and People

In the organizer's words:

The play "Dogs and People" by Vyacheslav Volkonsky (Ukraine), staged by director Marfa Gorvitz (Russia/Israel), reveals the cannibalistic face of war. The owner of an animal shelter receives an offer to sell dogs for rare dishes in a restaurant... an offer that is particularly tempting as she could donate the money to the Ukrainian armed forces.

This work-in-progress production is being developed as part of the international workshop for directing and dramaturgy "Focal Point" (Russian: "Точка сборки") by theater makers from Germany and Eastern European countries.
