In the organizer's words:

On Sunday, December 21, DOK Leipzig will be showing a short film reel of animated films for children aged 4 and over and their families at the Polish Institute. Free admission.

The film worlds in these nine animated films are lovingly created from plasticine, paper and wool or animated on the computer. It will be Christmassy and cozy, but also cheeky and funny. We join in the chase between a melting snowman and a hungry rabbit and get to know a cheeky fox who steals Santa's presents. Twice we meet Miriam, who wants to help her hen fly south with the other birds in the fall and who receives a visit from a Christmas elf in the winter.

We learn from a weasel that unfriendliness is often linked to a growling stomach. We meet little brown bears who don't want to go to bed yet and a robot who finds a star that has fallen from the sky. We also find out who is actually pulling the turnip on the other side in the Russian fairy tale "The Turnip".

The films come from Estonia, Latvia and Slovenia and are between 5 and 12 minutes long.
