KOMMUNIST by Lutz Pehnert tells the story of the rise and fall of the last General Secretary of the SED - Egon Krenz and sheds light on his political decisions in the context of the Cold War. At the same time, the film takes a fresh look at the decline of the GDR and the paths taken by the people who grew up in this system.
