No like 'en? Thuringian is not just Thuringian! In his documentary "Thuringia, Your Language", Gotha-born Gerald Backhaus shows the linguistic diversity of the Thuringian region, i.e. almost forgotten or soon to be forgotten languages: the dialects. The film team traveled through Thuringia and listened to the people in Altenburg, Meiningen, Saalfeld, north of Erfurt, in Ruhla, in Rauenstein, in Eichsfeld and in the bailiwick near Mühlhausen. The dialects sometimes differ from village to village. Film director Gerald Backhaus will be present at the screening and will be available for a discussion with the audience.
