DONKEY KID - Open Air Konzert

Donkey Kid: the up-and-coming indie artist and producer from Berlin who is quickly making a name for himself with his catchy melodies. Like many of his peers, Donkey Kid began producing music in his own bedroom, with his songs quickly gaining attention on Soundcloud. With a sound reminiscent of classic Beatles songs and 80s synthpop, Donkey Kid's music is both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. This unique style quickly caught the attention of many in the Berlin DIY scene, including Marco Kleebauer (producer of Bilderbuch), who produced Donkey Kid's debut EP "Distant Shouts" in 2022. With five bitter-sweet indie miniatures, "Distant Shouts" showcases Donkey Kid's exceptional songwriting talent and confidently tackles the challenges of our post-pandemic present. With a promising future ahead of him, Donkey Kid is attracting a lot of attention both online and offline. In addition to playlist features on Spotify such as "Best of Indie Brandnew 2021", Donkey Kid has already played his own shows in London and Berlin. He has also performed at prestigious showcase festivals such as the Reeperbahn Festival in Germany and Eurosonic in the Netherlands, and was even awarded a slot at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in 2022. Donkey Kid has been featured in international online publications such as Wonderland, which quote: "When attempting to break into the music scene, an artist's primary offerings sets the tone for the career ahead of them. And, if bedroomproducer Donkey Kid's latest cut is anything to go off, it can be assumed that he is about to catapult towards musical stardom." He also received an introduction from radio legend Kevin Cole on KEXP as well as Amazing Radio US, where his tracks "Distant Shouts" and "The Girl Outside" received A-List rotation. Donkey Kid is undoubtedly an artist to keep an eye on, and we can't wait to see what he has in store next.
