Dortmund aus Taubenperspektive - ein Stadtspaziergang mit der Stadttaubenhilfe Dortmund/Lünen e.V.
In the organizer's words:
🐦 City pigeon walk with the Stadttaubenhilfe Dortmund/Lünen e.V. 🐦
How do urban pigeons actually live in Dortmund? Where do they come from, what challenges do they face in everyday life and how can we help them?
Stadttaubenhilfe Dortmund/Lünen e.V. invites you to an informative city tour through Dortmund's city center on June 27 from 11:00 to 13:00.
Together we will take a look at the life of city pigeons and talk about topics such as
- The origin and history of city pigeons
- The situation of pigeons in Dortmund
- Frequent injuries and diseases
- Deterrence measures and their effects
- Our work in pigeon protection and the care of animals in need of help
- Dealing with injured, sick or orphaned pigeons
During the walk, we will respond spontaneously to situations that we encounter. If we discover injured or conspicuous pigeons, we will show you how to proceed in such cases. As this depends on the current circumstances, the exact procedure may vary.
With photos and field reports from our daily animal welfare work, we would like to give you an insight into the often hidden world of urban pigeons and answer questions about these often misunderstood animals.
We look forward to welcoming anyone who is interested - whether you already have experience with pigeons or simply want to find out more about our feathered roommates.
