Dortmund unplugged leaves its usual home in Lange August - and finds a home in the Pauluskirche for the fourth time. On Boxing Day, the special atmosphere in the heart of Nordstadt will be the stage for six acts, each of whom will show for 15 minutes how versatile and lively music from the Ruhr region sounds.

Among them are:

JANINA BEINERT, who captures both the big and small things in life in her songs. Between everyday life, turning points and new perspectives, she invites you to sing along, empathize and sometimes rethink. In addition to writing her own songs, she builds bridges as a music mediator and makes music accessible to everyone.

ANDY C. 's German-language songs oscillate between melancholy and joie de vivre - sometimes thoughtful, sometimes tongue-in-cheek. His music ranges from poetic ballads to rock songs with attitude and a good feel for what's between the lines.

KARLSKRONA, the indie pop duo from Dortmund, makes neon lights and everyday life fade away. Pia and Robert talk about feelings, time travel and dreams - with atmospheric arrangements and two voices that make hidden longings audible.

RONDOPRINZ stands for great songs between pop, indie and introverted elegance. Multi-layered, handmade and vulnerable, the current album "Die Dramatik der Vergeblichkeit" sounds like musical survival. And like hope in its most beautiful form.

Finally, RUHRMAN is like the Ruhrpott itself: grounded, direct and a little surprising. He plays with everything that has strings and tells stories in German, English - and sometimes even Spanish - about the big world and his own small one. His songs are sometimes quiet, sometimes loud, sometimes deeply serious, sometimes light-hearted and funny. And because he is no longer quite the youngest, he has a lot to tell.

There will also be a surprise act from Musiksyndikat Ruhr! The evening will be hosted by Bjarne tanzt! and Hallo Johanson. The event is organized by Musiksyndikat Ruhr in cooperation with Nordmarkt Records and Pauluskirche & Kultur.
