Dota also asked herself these questions in preparation for her new album "Springbrunnen". The answers lie in her path like signs on the road as soon as she starts working in earnest. All it has always taken is alert eyes, a voice that is her own and a heart that can hold more than her own retirement provision. Dota knows who she is and sees the things that connect her to and separate her from the world she lives in. Things that give her hope and things that repel her - which she confronts in her songs with honesty or biting irony.

After a performance and the release of a live album with the Babelsberg Film Orchestra, the desire arose to put together a program with songs from several albums and a chamber music ensemble. A fantastic string quartet was found. And now one of the first concerts with this line-up is taking place this evening.

Politically engaged, Dota is not content with having the "right" opinion and delivering slogans for those who are already like-minded. Instead, she confronts her own helplessness. No answers, but songs in which you can surrender to utopia, at least for the duration of a chorus. In doing so, she always exposes her own point of view, makes fun of it analytically and doesn't take herself too seriously.
