A digital and therefore naturally global grotesque to upset consciousness

A bourgeois evening party lets the champagne and words bubble away:
Against consciousness, against thawing polar ice caps, against the end of one's own species and against personal abysses...
They try, at least for this one night, to adjust their blinkers and catch their breath.
They play - "because man is only fully human where he plays" - in order to survive.
But the eagle will come.
You know it, you know it.
Cursed hope - that lets me live.
