doxs! dokumentarfilme für kinder und jugendliche 2024

This year, 32 films were selected to provide examples and raise questions. They provide inspiration to reflect on oneself and adopt a different perspective. Above all, however, they tell powerful and encouraging stories about young people who, despite all challenges and resistance, go their own way, shape their future and never lose sight of the positive. 21 films are competing for the festival's prizes, the GROSSE KLAPPE and the ECFA Documentary Award.

All screenings, whether on the big screen or digitally, are free of charge, but as always, registration is required in advance.

When?

The festival screenings in the cinema will take place from November 4 to 10, 2024. With guests, film educators and your pupils. Daycare centers are also welcome.

How?

The screenings take place in the presence of the international filmmakers and are accompanied by our media educators. So we can get into conversation together. The foreign-language films are spoken live in German up to the age of 10. German subtitles are available for older pupils aged 12 and over.

You can also use our accompanying material for the films. If you have any questions in advance about how to prepare the films for your lessons, we will be happy to advise you.

The doxs! offers are part of the framework media concept for secondary level I of the city of Duisburg and correspond to the competencies of the Media Pass NRW.
