DRAWING CAMP: 9-wöchiger Grundkurs Zeichnen / Learn to draw in 9 weeks!

Would you like to learn to draw? Then this course is just right for you. Guaranteed to be fun, clear and calm.

We take a unique and holistic approach to developing your drawing skills, taking into account the interaction of body, mind and soul. By the way: This course is also ideal as a leisure activity after work to relax body and mind!

Why draw? Drawing is the framework or grammar of the visual arts. It is a precise method of deciphering what we see. Drawing challenges us to really understand the logic of what we see. Drawing helps us to develop a steady hand, a precise eye and a logical understanding of shapes and shading.

We begin with a full-body warm-up exercise, followed by a concentration meditation in which we practise guiding our hand as our mind dictates. We will then move on to the main part of the course: practicing the representation of specific objects, creatures and environments. We will work on different techniques of drawing with pencil on paper (hatching, lines, blurring, surface design).

Everything we see can be drawn on paper using different approaches. I will teach you all the techniques so that you can find out which approach suits you best (grid; eye measurement and angles; measuring with hand and pencil; "becoming" what you see; drawing as writing).

At the end, we will share our experiences (debriefing).

What you should bring:

• Comfortable clothes in which you can move freely (sportswear is welcome!).

• A3 drawing pad

• A pencil and an eraser
