Paul Matthews is a husband and father, mediocre college professor, unremarkable average citizen - and suddenly the most famous person in the world after he appears in the dreams of more and more people. First with his daughter, then with an old girlfriend, then with his students and finally with practically everyone on earth, until Paul is recognized, celebrated and coveted in a way he could never have imagined in his wildest dreams. In his English-language debut, Oslo-born writer and director Kristoffer Borgli ("Sick of Myself") depicts one man's rapid rise and fall in a sarcastic and playfully twisted examination of the collective consciousness in today's media age, where just about anyone can suddenly become a strange celebrity and just as quickly fall into obscurity or disrepute.
