Images, media, modernity. In this curator-guided tour, you will discover the visual diversity of the 1920s and 30s in China, a time of rapid modernization in which prints became ambassadors of a new attitude towards life. The curator will provide insights into the creation of the exhibition, the historical significance of the unique collection and the German-Chinese research cooperation through which many of the works came to the MARKK. Find out how mass media, fashion and visual culture were interwoven and why this period is still highly interesting today.
