After a four-year break, actor Christian Elias Korber returns to the stage with his live theater performance DUNKELROT. He will be musically supported by John Riot.

Berlin-based artist Christian Elias Korber invites the audience to Hamburg on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. From 8.30 pm, the stage of Olivia's Show Club will become the home of DUNKELROT for one night.

DUNKELROT is a mixture of rehearsed and improvised. In addition to his own lyrics, Christian Elias Korber also performs song lyrics by Rosenstolz, AnNa R, MADONNA and RAMMSTEIN; he stages them as an actor and interprets their lyrics in his own unique way.

DUNKELROT is a socio-political cultural show with which initiator Christian Elias Korber wants to send a loud signal against hatred, against homophobia, for tolerance, for empathy, solidarity and especially for democracy.

"Never before have democracy and freedom been so acutely and massively threatened as they are now. Love is everything, love will always win. I am very grateful to live in a country where I can be openly gay and have the freedom to express my opinion. There are currently some evil currents in this country that are trying to destroy our democracy and this freedom with scary slogans. With my show, I am sending out a clear signal against these tendencies and standing up for a colorful society," says Christian Elias Korber.

DUNKELROT will be accompanied musically by none other than the exceptional talent John Riot. The Berlin singer/songwriter released his first solo single "Lover" in 2022, with which he also performed at the ZDF-Fernsehgarten. With melancholy lyrics, a raspy voice and pure pop club beats with a hint of the 80s, the Berliner-by-choice has now found his very own sound. John is not an unknown face - he was already part of the sixth season of "The Voice of Germany" in 2016, where he performed a cover of the Berlin rock band Staubkind. In 2024, John is hoping to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest for Germany. With his song "intoxicated", he wants to fight against stereotypical role models and talk about his traumas.

Christian Elias Korber is an actor who lives in Berlin. He is best known for his appearances in well-known TV shows such as the RTL 2 cult series "Berlin Tag und Nacht" from the SAT1 format "Lenssen übernimmt" or from "Barbara Salesch - Das Strafgericht" and "Südklinik am Ring". Last year, he played Elon Musk in a TV documentary on ZDF-Info. DUNKELROT is his live performance heart project with which he has been touring Germany since 2016.
