Duo Marimpiano & Friends: Swing, Salsa, Sinatra und mehr!

In the organizer's words:

Helmut Kandert (marimba/percussion) from Würzburg and Alexander Jacobi (piano) from Schlüchtern present an evening of swing, salsa and samba rhythms as well as virtuoso arrangements of classical works by Bach, Brahms and Mozart.

For this special concert, Duo Marimpiano has engaged musicians from the region who are friends of the duo: Andreas Fuchs (vocals) and Diana Schmitz (saxophone) will provide varied vocals and cool wind improvisations on well-known Frank Sinatra songs, among others.

Andreas Fuchs has made a name for himself in the region with the Caravan Big Band, Minnesoda, Paul & Herr Pinelli.

Diana Schmitz is a versatile saxophonist who has performed in numerous formations at home and abroad. In addition to her busy concert schedule, she has been a music teacher, conductor and sought-after soloist for many years.

The two "Marimpiano" musicians Alexander Jacobi and Helmut Kandert have performed on the YMCA cruise ship in Egypt in addition to their extensive concert activities in Germany.
