Düren-Premiere: Tina Teubner (und Ben Süverkrüp) "Ohne Dich war es immer so schön" (Kabarett & Lieder)
In the organizer's words:
Tina Teubner, “the most exciting, sustainable, and entertaining woman on the German cabaret scene,” knows this: Facing the facts head-on has never hurt anyone. If anything, it’s the facts that suffer.
The world is turned upside down—and we stand there helplessly, collecting loyalty points.
Instead of spurring life on, we nag our loved ones, whip our kids through high schools that stifle imagination (online if necessary), submit to the dictates of leisure-related stress, and seriously believe we can scare away transience with Botox.
Tina Teubner strikes back: How about living a life that deserves to be called “life,” she asks—backed by her pianist Ben Süverkrüp, the man who makes pianos tremble. World theater for everyone! The crazier and more absurd the world becomes, the deeper, more authentic, and more entertaining Tina and Ben become.
It would be a shame if, apart from a mountain of debt, the only thing left from the COVID-19 era were the realization that it’s bad to be alone—and even worse not to be.
“And because Tina Teubner is an extraordinary person, her shows are full of extraordinary humanity.” (Mario Angelo, WDR)
