Dürnitz Night Call - Summer Edition

It's summer - and the Night Call is moving out of the Dürnitz museum foyer and into the beautiful Renaissance courtyard of the Old Palace for the first time!

The DJs will be spreading summer vibes: AVEM, the star of the evening, and Henriqe as local support. The guided tours at the Württemberg State Museum are also all about summer: to cool off from the summer heat, they offer insights into the excavation site under the Old Palace or into the museum's large air conditioning system. Tours of the cultural history collections focus on the significance of the sun, sundials and sun gods. And in the House of Music, Night Call visitors can take a break from dancing to learn more about cool beats.

Refreshments will be provided by cocktails from Brave & Bold, which will be specially mixed at the bar for the evening.

Night owls take note: This outdoor night call has special times: The first DJ set with Henriqe starts as early as 5.30 pm. DJ AVEM will be spinning from 7 to 10 pm. The courtyard will remain open until midnight for the "chill-out" afterwards.

Main act DJ AVEM: Versatile and cross-genre
AVEM's interpretations of electronica are versatile and do not conform to conventional categories. Born and raised in Basel to Spanish and French parents, the fusion of different influences was already present in AVEM's upbringing. His compositions are characterized by a broad sonic spectrum, ranging from driving synthesizer classics, mysterious field recordings and acoustic experiments to dreamy vocal interludes. AVEM produces and performs live concert shows and DJ sets, but is also creative in the visual field. The artist's live sets began in 2018, with highlights to date including shows at various major festivals, as well as in cities such as Vienna, Paris, Oslo and New York City. In September 2023, the artist released his first studio album "Dream State" on his home label LOKD, an album that was largely created during the pandemic and is entirely a creation of AVEM, as the artist also designed the graphic appearance of the record. AVEM had to cancel the Dürnitz Night Call in February at short notice. Now the audience at the Summer Night Call can look forward to seeing him. Henriqe , whose sounds range between indie dance, melodic and progressive house, will be the local support. As part of the Allesamt and Nomadic_Playground collectives, she initially organized events and raves, but has also been playing her own sets since 2022.

The Dürnitz Night Call is a joint project between the Pop-Büro Region Stuttgart and the Landesmuseum Württemberg.
