Eastside - Poetry - Radtour mit der Lesebühne Schkeuditzer Kreuz

The text pilots of the well-known Leipzig reading stage Schkeuditzer Kreuz - Julius Fischer, Marsha Richarz, Kurt Mondaugen, Franziska Wilhelm and Hauke von Grimm - have repeatedly invited people to extraordinary literary expedition adventures through Leipzig since their founding: A literary hipster walk went live through the west of Leipzig with almost a hundred listeners in 2015, while a legendary poetry sightseeing bus tour in 2013 led from Leipzig city center in several stops to the place where the reading stage was founded: directly to the Schkeuditzer Kreuz.
On Friday, May 31, 2024, there will now be a spoken word poetry bike tour for the first time. - And on this evening, it will open up completely new areas of Leipzig with live literature: The tour will start on a sunny Friday evening on the last day of May in the Rabet, leading through the most poetically inspiring places in the east of Leipzig to the district of Paunsdorf-Nord, which has unfortunately been completely underestimated in literary terms until now - to the idyllic Bogensee lake.
At the various stops along the way, the authors of the Lesebühne Schkeuditzer Kreuz will read their own wild texts that fit the respective locations. At the end of the tour - at Paunsdorfer Bogensee - there will be a brilliant reading performance at sunset with the reading stage. Young people from the east of Leipzig who have taken part in one of the two poetry slam workshops in Paunsdorf in the days before (on 29.05. at OFT Crazy or on 30.05. at the Brücke children's and youth café) can also perform their own short texts. The event will be framed by hands-on activities from Wilma - the Kultourkutsche - and a culinary KüFa stand.
