Klasse für Type-Design × ECAL - A Typographic Atlas

In the organizer's words:

The "Atlas" exhibition was developed in collaboration between the ECAL (Lausanne School of Art and Design) and the Type Design class at the HGB Leipzig. It provides an overview of what type design is, what it can achieve visually and how it is used in our everyday lives. "Atlas" presents experimental letterforms, extensive font families, diverse typefaces and the interface between craft and contemporary graphic design. The exhibition offers a space that is accessible not only to experts, but also to a wider audience.
In collaboration with the type design class of Prof. Ondřej Báchor at the HGB Leipzig, the exhibition was conceived especially for the HGB gallery and shows student works from both ECAL and HGB Leipzig. Following its premiere in Turin, the German premiere exhibition will be presented in Leipzig - the second stop on its international tour, before moving on to New York, Paris and Tokyo, among others.

The opening on April 9 at 5 p.m. in the HGB Gallery will feature a "Type-Design Bar", a short introduction to the exhibition and talks with international designers:

Special opening hours for Museum Night on 09.05.: open from 6pm to midnight.
