Series of events: Latin America, What's happening?
Resisters from Ecuador, Brazil and Colombia
A cooperation with FIAN, ILA, Südwind Institut and Allerweltshaus
In the last part of our event series, we follow up the screening of "El Pescador" with a panel discussion on the current situation in Ecuador.
We will analyze
- where the roots of the socio-economic crisis lie
- how Ecuador's institutions have been systematically destabilized
- what the violence has to do with global shifts in the drug trade
- how the crisis is affecting people's everyday lives
- what prospects there are for the future.
With: Paulina Méndez, PhD student at the Department of Ancient American Studies at the University of Bonn
