Man needs the machine, but does the machine need man?
In EDEN MACHINE, the music of Mylène Kroon and visuals by Frederik Werth come together in an installation that is animated by more than just human performers: Plants and insects control the image and sound machine, which creates a magical utopia in the ruins of our civilization in ever-changing constellations: A new Eden. A network of the most diverse life forms that create a new world. The bunker k101 becomes a habitat for beings that have survived humans. Inspired by E.M. Forster's 1909 novella "The Machine Stops", a dystopia that anticipates current questions about the future of humanity with regard to climate change and rapid technological development, we present sound and visual worlds of a post-human future. The performance will be held in English.
