Her music revolves around everything that connects, divides and drives people - Dutch singer-songwriter Eefje de Visser has long been one of the most influential musicians in her country. Her career began in 2009 when she won the "Grote Prijs van Nederland", a national music casting show. Eefje, who learned to play the guitar at an early age and wrote her first songs, had already been on stage for almost a decade. But her life changed abruptly after the final: she devoted herself entirely to music and released her debut album "De Koek" in 2011. This was followed just two years later by "Het is", which was even more successful in the charts. Eefje de Visser had found her own sound: Somewhere between alternative pop and folk, at once mystical, dark, energetic and warm. With "Nachtlicht" (2016), her sound became even more electronic, even more driving - and captivated the press and fans alike. Not only in her home country, but also internationally. Although she sings exclusively in Dutch, her dreamy songs effortlessly overcome any language barrier. You can feel her music immediately. She released her best-known work to date in 2020 with "Bitterzoet". The album reached the top 3 in the Netherlands and even reached number 1 in Belgium. It was voted the best Dutch album of the year several times.

After this success, she retreated to her home studio and returned with her most intimate songs to date: on "Heimwee" (2024), she talks about her pregnancy, the pandemic and her first moments as a mother - more honestly and powerfully than ever before.

The second part of "Heimwee", "Vlijmscherp", will be released in October - both albums form a diptych and will be released as a double album. In it, Eefje de Visser unfolds her magical and realistic world, moving between extremes and yet remaining hopeful: from darkness to light, from strangeness to closeness, from fragility to strength - and takes her audience with her on this intimate journey. In spring 2026, she will go on a major tour with the double album, including three exclusive concerts in Germany.
