Ein Abend mit Chopin

After two concerts last year, the Es Klingt Music Festival, whose artistic director is Andrea Barizza, is returning to the Wappensaal in Lübben Castle (Brandenburg) and filling the room with music once again. On Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 7 p.m., Italian pianist Gianluca Luisi will perform a solo evening under the motto "An Evening with Chopin". The focus will be on Frédéric Chopin's four ballades as well as other key works that show Chopin as a "poet of the piano" between lyrical intimacy, dramatic narrative power and virtuoso brilliance.

Gianluca Luisi is internationally renowned for his technical mastery and stylistic clarity, especially in the virtuoso piano literature. Concert appearances have taken him to major cultural centers in Europe, the USA and Asia, including the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in New York. His Chopin program combines great form and fine poetry of sound to create a recital that is both gripping and makes for concentrated listening.
