With "Toxibaby", Dana von Suffrin presents a novel that goes where it hurts and remains mercilessly funny, clever and touching. On March 27, 2026, the author will be our guest in Eimsbüttel and read from her latest work. In "Toxibaby", she tells the story of Herzchen and Toxibaby: two people who lose themselves in each other, want to grow together and perhaps fail because of it. Herzchen, a successful millennial writer, wants everything from life; Toxibaby, in his early forties, carries the world on his shoulders like a burden. What begins as overwhelming love turns into a web of devotion, dependency and intellectual exchanges. With sharp wit and a precise eye, Dana von Suffrin dissects the inability to relate of a generation desperately searching for love - both saving and destructive.
