The audience can expect a varied evening with songs by Kurt Weill - interpreted by the Munich singer Brigitte Bayer, accompanied on the piano by the Nuremberg pianist Lisa Milyukova. The evening sheds light on Weill's work between Berlin and Broadway, between political acuity and musical elegance. The central theme is longing. Well-known Weill melodies such as Youkali, Surabaya Johnny and Speak Low are interwoven with texts and scenic elements to create a performative overall experience.
