Wedding ceremony and blessing at lofty heights on the Mainz Ferris wheel

Love is in the air - literally! Couples can celebrate their church wedding directly on the Mainz Giant Ferris Wheel at the Mainz St. John's Festival on June 19 from 12 noon to 4 pm as part of the "Einfach heiraten" ("Just get married") campaign. Between cotton candy, Riesling spritzers and a view of the Rhine, it's time to say "I do!" at lofty heights.

But that's not all: whether you want to renew your vows or spontaneously have your love blessed - anything is possible.

Whether same-sex, straight or queer, regardless of religion - everyone is welcome. Various priests are available at the Ferris wheel. A blessing or wedding verse can be chosen on site.

A civil marriage certificate and identity card are required for the official wedding ceremony. A blessing ceremony does not require any papers or formalities.

It is not necessary to register in advance - please allow for a waiting time.
