Workshop in the Berggarten: Introduction to plant illustration techniques
In this taster course, artist Audrey Reilly will introduce you to the techniques of plant illustration. You will learn how to make your first accurate drawings of plants. You will then be shown the watercolor techniques, which you can then try out for yourself. Using your newly acquired skills, you will create a small study of a leaf or flower.
The workshop is suitable for beginners and anyone with a different artistic background who would like to learn more about botanical illustration.
About the artist:
Irish artist Audrey Reilly has lived and worked in Germany for many years. She received her diploma in botanical illustration at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh.
