In the organizer's words:
Free admission! is an initiative of Bochum-based artists and designers. This year, 65 artists have joined the open weekend, which has been held annually since 2006.
In addition to the "classic" art formats such as painting, graphics, objects, installations, sculpture and photography, digital art and interdisciplinary, mixed-media works can also be seen. In the design area, visitors can discover a glass-blowing workshop, a ceramics workshop and two goldsmiths.
Under the motto "Encounter art, experience artists, discover studios", the aim of the event remains to inspire the Bochum (and other) public for art through personal discussions in a studio atmosphere.
In addition and always available online is the audio guide KUNST.TÖNE. (sic), which tells the story of artistic and technical work processes in live conversations and sound recordings. This presentation format is a great advantage for the visually impaired. Art and culture become audible!
