Eistanz @ Eishörnchen - The Swingin' Ice Cream Parlour

On Saturday, August 15, the New Swing Generation will transform the garden of the Eishörnchen ice cream parlor into an open-air dance floor.

From 6 to 9 p.m., anyone who feels like it can dance to swing music—Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Collegiate Shag—surrounded by greenery, right next to the historic Röper Hof in Othmarschen.

The Eishörnchen is located in the former granary of the thatched-roof Röper Hof and is one of the city’s more unusual ice cream parlors.

You can join in however you like: jump right in, watch for a while, or ask questions. Experienced dancers from the New Swing Generation often show newcomers a few steps right there on the spot. Between dances, homemade ice cream and drinks are available on-site.

Free admission. In case of bad weather, the ice dance event will be canceled; we’ll post the latest updates at short notice on Instagram (@newswinggeneration) and our website.
