ELISABETH LOHNINGER QUINTET

New Yorker and Austrian - an exciting contrast for jazz singer Elisabeth Lohninger for many years.

For her, jazz is the vehicle, the framework in which she can live out her wide-ranging musical preferences with great taste and love - from Afro-Cuban to singer-songwriter and pop to blues, from songs from her own pen to the American Songbook.

With a great band and a brand new, brilliant live LP from the legendary Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg, Lohninger will be on the road in fall 2025. At the invitation of Analogtage 2023, the "Kate Bush of jazz" (Straubinger Tagblatt) has put together a breathtakingly diverse program for the LP and tour and finds herself in the best musical company: pianist Jean-Yves Jung (FR), saxophonist Christine Corvisier (FR/DE), bassist Cliff Schmitt (US) and drummer Alex Bernath (DE). Together they can be seen on the live stream recording of Analogtage 2023 and the sheer joy and enthusiasm of making music together is written all over their faces. "Fresh, unconventional and unpretentious" - according to the Straubinger Tagblatt.
