Hazal is 17 and from Berlin. Her most fervent wish: a chance in life. She is stuck looking for a job and encounters prejudice everywhere she goes. On her 18th birthday, all she really wants to do is celebrate. After a dramatic incident, Hazal flees head over heels to Istanbul, to a country she doesn't know, where she has to survive on her own.

ELLBOGEN tells the story of a young woman who is pushed out of a society that can only be hers. You want to run through the night with her, you want to know what will happen to her and to all of us.
