Elori Saxl is an American composer of experimental electronic music. Her works have received critical acclaim for their elegant and innovative combination of digitally processed field recordings, analog synthesizers and orchestral instruments.
Saxl has composed music for classical ensembles as well as institutions and media outlets such as PBS, the National Film Board of Canada, the Guggenheim, Burton, Patagonia, Google, Poler, Dove, The New Yorker, This American Life, Public Radio International, SFMOMA and others. She has performed worldwide both as a solo artist and in quartets.
Henry Solomon is an American artist, saxophonist, composer and producer. In addition to writing and producing his own solo projects, he can be heard on recordings by Paramore, Vampire Weekend, Louis Cole and Miley Cyrus and was featured on HAIM's Grammy-nominated album Women In Music Pt. 3. He also played baritone saxophone as Lisa Simpson in the Disney+ short film When Billie Met Lisa with Billie Eilish. Solomon's solo albums combine jazz, pop, punk and electronic music. Henry is currently working on several new albums.
Together, the two artists present their collaborative album Seeing is Forgetting, which combines analog synthesizers (Elori Saxl) with baritone saxophone and bass clarinet (Henry Solomon). The album draws equally from American jazz abstraction, New York classical minimalism and the harmonic, formal and catchy approach of contemporary pop music, exploring presence, physicality, intuition and vulnerability.
