The singer Elsa Johanna Mohr and the guitarist Flávio Nunes dedicate themselves to the colorful diversity of Brazilian music with well-known Brazilian classics such as "Carinhoso" or "Tempo de Amor" as well as with their own compositions and thus create a broad overview of a culturally rich and beautiful country. Elsa Johanna Mohr lived in Brazil for 1 1/2 years and studied Portuguese literature in Munich and jazz singing in Osnabrück. She writes her pieces in Portuguese, which means they fit seamlessly into the series of Brazilian classics. Five years ago, Mohr met guitarist Flávio Nunes from São Paulo in Düsseldorf. Since then, the two have shared a common musical language with which they express the Brazilian zest for life and the well-known longing of Brazilians.

In January 2023, the duo released their first album together as part of the "Jazz Thing Next Generation" series (Double Moon/Bertus). The clear diction and unforced style of Mohr's vocals make the album "Passadinha" a little gem - the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung already attested that she sings "as if she had grown up on Sugar Loaf Mountain" - to which Nunes, who masters the most complex rhythms with breathtaking ease, adds depth and an extra dimension to the casual vocals.
