Program

This year, Frauke Aulbert is transforming Friday the 13th into a FLINTA* Anti-Valentine's Day: an interdisciplinary evening between concert and performance, installation and manifesto. Experimental music exclusively by female composers focuses on women's voices from different cultural contexts and on female:human themes. Bodies and sounds interweave to create a feminist exploration of love, freedom, motherhood, attributions of beauty and the question of what it means today to position oneself artistically as a woman*.

Embrace! would like to offer new rituals and encourage reflection. All old and new lovers of new perspectives on the contemporary music landscape are invited.

Embrace! is part of the FEMALE SONIC FEAST concert series. Frauke Aulbert sets an example for contemporary music beyond the established canon in 2026 and invites you to join her. In six concerts in 2026, she will focus on works by female and female-read composers of different generations and make artistic positions audible that are still underrepresented in repertoire and performance practice.
