This year, Frauke Aulbert is transforming Friday the 13th into a FLINTA* Anti-Valentine's Day: an interdisciplinary evening between concert and performance, installation and manifesto. Experimental music exclusively by female composers focuses on women's voices from different cultural contexts and on female:human themes. Bodies and sounds interweave to create a feminist exploration of love, freedom, motherhood, attributions of beauty and the question of what it means today to position oneself artistically as a woman*. Frauke Aulbert is supported by the up-and-coming actress Luisina Nuñez.
Embrace! aims to offer new rituals and encourage reflection. All old and new lovers of new perspectives on the contemporary music landscape are invited.
Embrace! is part of the FEMALE SONIC FEAST concert series. Frauke Aulbert is setting an example for contemporary music beyond the established canon in 2026 and invites you to join her. In six concerts in 2026, she will focus on works by female and female-read composers of different generations and make artistic positions audible that are still underrepresented in repertoire and performance practice.

Frauke Aulbert is a soprano, extreme singer, composer and performer and is one of the most versatile personalities in contemporary music. Her work combines virtuoso interpretations of contemporary compositions with her own musical-theatrical formats and an intense proximity to the audience. International appearances have taken her to festivals such as Warsaw Autumn, Resonant Bodies NYC, Onassis Centre Athes and LIG Hall Seoul as well as to opera houses, concert halls and art institutions worldwide.
As "Hamburg's Avantgarde Queen" (Hamburger Abendblatt), she has received numerous awards, including the 1st Prize of the Stockhausen Foundation and artist residencies in Rome, Paris, Stuttgart and Kyoto. Since 2020-2023 she has curated the "Festival for Intangible Art" in Hamburg and teaches New Music Singing at the HfMT Hamburg and HMT Leipzig.
