Part bubbling whirlpool, part gentle flow, this piece is a lively work that is as dynamic as it is captivating and does justice to the depiction of biographical memories and personal experiences. Without equating wars and totalitarian systems or making skewed historical comparisons, the play succeeds in addressing the human and empathetic level of ruptures. Torn Worlds - Kaleidoscope of Memories 1952 - 2022 brings the stories of three generations from the post-Soviet region to the stage: stories of home, loss and reorientation, stories of children's lives in turbulent times and stories of disoriented adults with the desire for a good life for themselves and their children.

The interweaving of collected memories and historical cross-references creates a theatrical picture of East-West history since 1952. And when words are not enough, other means are found.

In the weave of pieced-together memories and historical cross-references, a theatrical picture of East-West history since 1952 emerges. And when words are not enough, other means are found.
