Erik, the colporteur tells the story of two revolutionaries
revolutionaries who are deeply rooted in sign language
are deeply rooted in sign language: Erik Twilke, the protagonist, is hard of hearing and his nephew
nephew Keno Uebelacker, who dares not leave his side, is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) - a child of deaf parents. A failed murder plot and a camera are the initiators for an escape from the revenge ghost, a split-off manifestation of the hate-filled, cunning, petty-bourgeois murder mission against Keno - his anti-ego.
Awakened by fear, saved by Lucy, a supernatural figure, Erik and Keno begin a wild odyssey in a deaf-socialist fax machine through space, language, time and class. In 36 faxes, spewed out by this very fax machine, they spread revolutionary writings into the world in an agitating and colporting, puffery and agitation. In doing so, they make use of their own history, the history of sign language culture, the workers' movement and try to incite the crowd from the perspective of the deaf people and the lumpenproletariat.

About the author
M6services is the art persona of Marco Bötsch (*1995 in Würzburg), a child of deaf parents (CODA). The declared aim of M6services' oeuvre is not only to have German sign language and its relationship to German spoken and written language as a permanent subject, but also to question the relationship of sign language culture to the socialist world movement.
