Erlangen's weekly market has been held on Marktplatz and Schlossplatz since 1694. At the most central square in Erlangen, it offers a wide selection of fresh food.
Around 40 traders are always there for you from Monday to Saturday, offering their fresh produce. In addition to fruit and vegetables, these include flowers and plants, meat and eggs, fish, cheese and antipasti and much more. Many of the market's participants are home-grown producers from the region. In the heart of Erlangen, the shopping basket is quickly filled. Several food stalls offer small treats for lunch breaks or a shopping spree. Traders are open from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
