Erlend Øye / La Comitiva

Erlend Øye has brought calm to pop music with his duo Kings of Convenience, electrified clubs as the Whitest Boy Alive and released various records as a solo musician over the past 20 years. Since 2012, the Norwegian musician has been living in Sicily, where he founded the band La Comitiva with friends. The term describes a group of people you regularly hang out with. This has been the case with La Comitiva since 2016, when the musicians from different countries first met to jam in the old town of the Sicilian city of Syracuse and then in Erlend Øye's country house to play covers of Sicilian, Cuban, Colombian, Mexican and Brazilian songs. After collaborations with the Berlin stargaze ensemble and single releases, the album "La Comitiva" is now being released on the Bubbles label by Marcin Oz (The Whitest Boy Alive). And Erlend Øye is finally playing live with La Comitiva at Kampnagel - after a planned concert at the Kampnagel Summer Festival in the Elbphilharmonie was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
