With its large number of studios and art spaces, Neukölln is a lively and important location for the contemporary art scene. The Department of Culture recognizes this fact with the annual awarding of the Neukölln Art Prize. In cooperation with Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln e.V. and STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH, outstanding artists from the Neukölln art scene are awarded a total of 6,000 euros (1st prize: 3,000 euros, 2nd prize: 2,000 euros, 3rd prize: 1,000 euros). STADT UND LAND also awards a special prize in the form of a purchase.
The works of the artists nominated by the six-member expert jury will be presented in a group exhibition in the Saalbau gallery. Come along to this special event to celebrate the diversity, quality and experimentation of art in Neukölln!
Free admission and no pre-registration is required.
The gallery in Saalbau will be open from 6 - 10 pm for the award ceremony.
