Every human being is a web of routines, convictions and attempts to establish order. Defects, disruptions and irritations are often seen as a threat - but perhaps they are our true potential. It is precisely where something tilts or contradicts itself that space opens up for new perceptions.

For this year's members' exhibition of the Berufsverband bildender Künstler*innen Hamburg, a five-member expert jury has selected 30 artistic positions from 145 submissions. System Error Human? brings together works that trace the fragile, unfinished and contradictory. Between analog material and digital code, between earth, fabric, metal and pixels, they negotiate questions of control, loss and new beginnings. They show breaks as transitions, cracks as openings, irritations as starting points for new forms of togetherness. The exhibition thus becomes a polyphonic plea for the productive power of error - and for art as a place where orientation is constantly being created anew. The exhibition will be officially opened on February 6 at 7 pm.
