The Kompetenznetz Plurales Heidelberg and the Karlstorkino Heidelberg invite you to an exclusive screening of the film "Es brennt":

On the day against anti-Muslim racism, we will be showing the feature film debut "Es brennt" by director Erol Afşin.

The film is inspired by the tragic case of the murdered Marwa E.-S., whose fate illustrates the devastating consequences of anti-Muslim racism.

The event will begin with a welcoming address by Stefanie Jansen, Mayor for Social Affairs, Education, Family and Equal Opportunities of the City of Heidelberg. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with representatives of Muslim organizations and Antony Pattathu, Head of the Department of Anti-Racism at the Office for Equal Opportunities of the City of Heidelberg.

The film screening is a cooperation between the Kompetenznetz Plurales Heidelberg and the Karlstorkino. The Competence Network Plural Heidelberg is led by the Office for Equal Opportunities of the City of Heidelberg, while the external coordination and specialist unit (KuF) is run by Mosaik Deutschland e.V.
