At the etepetete - indie music festival, up-and-coming indie bands from Europe take turns playing on two stages at the FZW in Dortmund to mark Europe Day.

TRAMHAUS (NL)
Dark alley. Leather jacket. Sunglasses. Rusty pipes on dark red bricks. Yes, you're thinking of the music of Traumhaus. Postpunk from Rotterdam. Fresh, young and yet as familiar as if you'd had their EP "Rotterdam" in your record cabinet for years, because your hip uncle once heard it as "heetste shit" in a record store on a trip to Rotterdam and thought of you when he heard it at home.

PAM RISOURIÈ (FR)
The Parisian band Pam Risouriè dips everything in a dark blue. With delicate, pathetic, dreamy and fragile sounds between shoegaze, grunge and indie rock, they are reminiscent of Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth.

POM (NL)

Texoprint are particularly down-to-earth and describe themselves as "The Netherlands' most intense noise rock trio" . Without knowing every single noise rock trio in the Netherlands, we would underline this with Aquamaler. Friends of the Idles will definitely get their money's worth here.

BLUEDAZE (IT)
Gentle, enveloping and interwoven. Bluedaze is a fitting name for this Italian neo-psych and dream-pop band. It's like lying on the beach from your boots on vacation, sunbathing and getting a pinch of sand blown into your face in between.

KINO MOTEL (AUS, NL)
Ed Fraser and Rosa Mercedes met in a commune in Berlin. They themselves call their music "melancholic gritty pop". To us, it sounds more like the soundtrack to a road movie in a heavy, low-slung muscle car over sand-blown country roads through the American desert. Let yourself fall into the crocodile leather seats and get carried away.

LAUNDROMAT CHICKS (AT)
The Viennese indie group led by Tobias Hammermüller turns the washing inside out and first sets the spin cycle before boiling the white laundry together with a pink sock at far too high a temperature. The result is a shrunken, pink-colored mixture of indie, punk and weird folk. A soundtrack for spring cleaning.
