Berlin, but not quite your Berlin: The boundaries between parallel worlds have begun to crumble, and you’re walking right through them, from puzzle to puzzle, from clue to clue.
There isn’t just one Berlin. In countless parallel worlds, other versions of the city exist—some familiar, some barely recognizable. For the past few days, echoes of these worlds have been appearing right in the heart of Berlin. Your mission: follow the anomalies before the worlds overlap too much.
Together with the interdimensional being Vareon, you set out, track down clues, and immerse yourselves in ever-changing versions of the city. A puzzle awaits you at every stop. You’ll combine clues, puzzle things out, discuss, and quickly realize who on the team reads the map and who already suspects the solution before you’ve even finished reading the question.
The game is played outdoors using an app on your own smartphone. You’ll need only one device per group; you’ll receive all the information in advance via email. The start and finish are at our location at Friedrichstraße 101. Plan on about 3 to 3.5 hours, including the briefing. You’ll play in groups of 2 to 6 people, with up to 36 players in total, in German or English.
As a Berlin outing, this fits many different scenarios. A family outing where even the teens get to use their phones for something useful. A team-building event where you get to see a different side of your coworkers. Or an afternoon with friends who want more than just another cup of coffee.
EXIT has been creating puzzles and games in Berlin since 2014. “Echoes of Berlin” is our outdoor game for anyone who’d rather walk through the city than sit in a room. Bring sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing—the city will take care of the rest.
The boundaries are shifting. Hopefully, your theory isn’t.
