In the organizer's words:
The Russian human rights organization "Memorial", which was dissolved in 2022, has built up an extensive archive of around 320,000 letters from former Nazi forced labourers since the 1990s. Evelina Rudenko, who now lives in Bremen, has organized numerous educational projects for "Memorial", including on the fate of the "Eastern workers".
In cooperation with the Focke Museum and the International Peace School
The discussion takes place as part of the exhibition "VERSCHLEPPT. FLAWED. FORGOTTEN? FORCED LABOR IN BREMEN 1939-1945", on display from March 1 to June 22, 2024 in the Gustav Heinemann Bürgerhaus.
