silent green presents

Ex-Easter Island Head is an experimental music collective from England that develops compositions and performances for solid-body electric guitar, percussion and other instruments. The group plays several electric guitars, which are modified by mechanical preparations and extended playing techniques. This results in hypnotic soundscapes full of repetition, shimmering drones and melodic ideas - created with deliberately limited means.

The most recent album Norther (2024) was named "Album of the Year" by leading European culture magazine The Quietus. An interview with The Guardian in the same year described their music as "one of the boldest experiments in British music".

In early 2025, the band recorded four tracks live for a BBC Radio 6 session at Riley & Coe.
