The exhibition will also feature works by Julia Emslander and Carlos Sfeir Vottero.

About the exhibition:

In the exhibition, an object from the collection of the Stadtmuseum Berlin - a handful of charred grape seeds from a 5,000-year-old Egyptian tomb - becomes the starting point for a critical examination of colonial collecting practices and cultural heritage.
It breaks with traditional museum narratives by combining Egyptological, ethnobotanical and decolonial perspectives. Films, contemporary art and participatory formats create a space for remembering and redefining museum practice.

Curated by students of the Master's program in Museum Management and Communication at HTW Berlin in cooperation with the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin.
