Six strangers, three routes, one destination

- The documentary follows six very different characters - including cycling icons like former Tour de France pro Marcel Kittel and ultracycling athlete Sami Sauri - on a journey across Europe that goes far beyond traditional cycling.

Explore Freedom puts themes of new beginnings, self-discovery, and the limits of personal freedom at its core. Starting from Sarajevo, St. Moritz, and Bratislava, three teams of two set off without a fixed plan and without knowing each other beforehand. Their shared destination: Pula, Croatia.

A standout cast and cultural encounters

Viewers follow the "Balkan Express" team with Marcel Kittel and adventure newcomer Burak, as well as the "Alpen Cross" team with ultra-athlete Sami Sauri and filmmaker Tsellot. At the same time, artist Sara and bike enthusiast Petor set off as the "No Borders" team.

The story moves through moments of chaos, separation, and reunion. It's not about athletic peak performance but about cultural encounters, physical and mental challenges, and the personal growth of the protagonists.

After the film, there will be a small panel discussion with the participants.
