Installative concert performance by Haugg and Schneider

Gerhard Haugg and Ludger F.J. Schneider are known for tackling "serious" subjects in a playful and experimental way - and vice versa.

In their concept, the two refer to the killing of a Senegalese underage refugee by Dortmund police officers two years ago. "f-d-g-(D) o" is therefore a critique of the reality of the "free democratic basic order", clothed in a musical theme that is designed to shatter conventions. Haugg and Schneider use medieval tone syllables and aleatoric, i.e. chance-controlled, processes to give a new perspective to set pieces from Haydn's Emperor Quartet and Beethoven's Ninth. The instruments also have sufficient potential for alienation and insight to defend human dignity and at the same time question the prevailing conditions in the good Fluxus tradition.
