What forms do friendships take, how long do they last, how do they end? What conflicts do they have to deal with? How do friendship and the world of work go together? What role do physical attraction and the need for closeness play? What kind of care work is done in friendships? To what extent can caring for each other as friends create alternative communities of responsibility?

A homage to friendship, composed of notes, conversations and everyday observations, with which Anna-Lena Wenzel concludes the trilogy of relationships that she began with love and continued with heartbreak.

Dr. Anna-Lena Wenzel is a cultural scientist and works as an author in Berlin. She writes for magazines and artists, curates and moderates and runs the online city magazine 99% Urban. With her book about friendship (2025, Textem Verlag), she has completed the trilogy of relationships that she began with "Liebe" and "Herzschmerz".
